Hello!
I'm trying to evaluate a number of builds, and facing a problem that I think many Alliance Priest face nowadays.
The focal point of the builds is that I almost always group with a Holy specced Pally (one of my best friends), who works wonderfully as Main Healer. Note that I'm talking about a PVE environment.
I like very much the role of healer, however most of all I feel that our roles are "overlapping", and if we both heal we feel a lack of DPS and of general utility.
Keep in mind, as a final note, that I am a very casual player: I most probably won't see MC or even ZG. So, 5-man instances, maybe 10-man too (UBRS).
Again, I am talking about a PVE environment partying almost always with a main healer. I know a very large number of valid PVE-healing, PVP-damage and PVP-healing builds, but that's not the issue I'm trying to address here.
==========================================
My first approach is a "shadow damage" one.
I'm taking all aggro-reduction talents, Improved Fade and a couple of Discipline Talents (up to Inner Focus).
The main issue I can see on this build is Mana. I thought about taking Spirit Tap, but with a similar build I'll be focusing on MP5 items instead of high-Spirit ones.
PVE Shadow Damage (13/0/38)

==========================================
The following is a more "utilitarian" build, that will allow me to assist for more and damage for less, reducing the mana issue a bit (and giving more role to Spirit)
PVE Shadow/Disc Utility (25/0/26)

==========================================
The third, and final, approach is a 31-Disc for Power Infusing party members.
I kept Shadow Weawing for helping warlocks, I can still dish out some damage and most notably will have a larger mana pool with the capability of power-boosting one of my caster party members once every 3 minutes.
PVE Disc/Shadow Utility (31/0/20)

Any feedback will be greatly appreciated! Thank you very much! :)
Muchas gracias!
