Secondly , the leader of the good guys is Leonidas the leader of a military , oligachic Sparta , that is the most retarded version of the ancient greek society .The democratic athens is a state of effeminate philosophers who in the end will unite under the commandament of the "capable" Spartans against the enemy coming from the East . Why for example they didn't make a movie about the battle in marathonas where the few not only stood up against the Persians but also won , if the makers' purpose was to exclaim the importance of resisting against the powerful ? Because simply the athenian army was made from the athenian people , an army of farmers, labores, commercials , an army elected by the athenian people under democratic circumstances . On the contrary the army of Sparta was an army of mercenaries just like as the american army it is today . War machines , with a high sense of honour of course but professionals too . So reviews talking about militarism and military apotheosis are correct .
Finally , the means . The movie commits a flossy propaganda that reveals its cause . Leonidas did not go to Thermopylae violating the rules , but as a general of a consociation of 31 cities-state as it was decided at the conference held in Korinthos at 481 BC.but as we can see in the movie Leonidas violates the spartan law , a fact historically unacceptable due to the fact that spartans highly respected laws and rules .The point is obvious , many of the USA acts are totally illegal and violate internation laws but the american government tries to justify them claiming that "the cause justifies the means" ..

Onestamente...lo trovo ridicolo...il voler cercare un secondo fine ovunque è la rovina della nostra epoca!Ogni tanto saper prendere le cose puramente per come ci sono mostrate renderebbe la vita migliore!Dubito fortemente che qualcuno oserebbe mai legittimare la politica internazionale americana dopo aver visto 300,paragonandola ad esso....

Anche su ngi c'era un discorso simile. Secondo me sono tutte cazzate.
Perchè, secondo me, gli americani potevano anche essere l'esercito persiano, mentre gli iraqeni, o quello che vogliono essere, sono gli spartani, che in pochi cercano di fermare l'avanzata "mindless" del malvagio esercito americano.

Ma secondo me si sta cercando una propaganda che non c'è secondo me.
